Is your child in Grade 3–6 and in need of a boost in their reading and writing skills?
Our Literacy Support Workshops are designed to provide targeted, practical support to help children strengthen their literacy skills and build the confidence they need to participate more successfully in classroom learning.
Led by our highly qualified and experienced teachers, these small-group workshops are particularly beneficial for students who may be experiencing literacy difficulties, including those associated with an underlying specific learning difficulty.
What will sessions look like?
Each session will follow the structure of a typical literacy block and will include:
- Shared reading of an engaging text
- 1:1 reading time with a teacher
- Modelled writing, where teachers explicitly demonstrate writing strategies
- Independent writing, with individualised guidance and explicit feedback
- Opportunities to practise and strengthen skills in a supportive, encouraging environment
How many students are in each session?
To ensure students receive meaningful support and individual attention, groups will be limited to a maximum of 8 students.

Our teachers will assess whether the course content and level of support are appropriate for your child. If we feel the program may be too complex for your child at this stage, we will discuss this with you.
Does my child need to attend all sessions?
Although we would highly recommend that students participate in all 4-sessions to receive maximum benefit, we understand that life is busy so you can choose whether your child attends 1,2,3 or all 4 sessions. All four sessions will include both reading and writing activities however focus activities will change from session to session.
